PSALM 20:1-5
- The Lord answer you in the day of trouble! The name of the God of Jacob set you up on high (and defend you).
- Send you help from the sanctuary, and support, refresh and strengthen you from Zion;
- Remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice; Selah.
- Grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your plans.
- We will shout in triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners; the Lord fulfill all your petitions.
This Psalm of David, He is reflecting on all the good things the Lord will do for His own. He is reminding us that it is His will to bless us. He does not want to give us something that we do not want. It would then not be a blessing.
He remembers all of our Praise and worship; He writes it all down. This is a time to be serious and ask for the right things. He is so good. He delights in blessing us. We receive a double victory!
We receive the greatly needed strength and support we have asked for. We know the battle is already won. So, when we are fighting, we must see the blessings we are about to receive and not dwell on the trouble. Our attitude must be one of thanksgiving. If we read this Psalm, it will make us thankful.
PSALM 20:9 O Lord, give us victory; let the king answer us when we call.
A had a pastor who used to say, ‘stop looking at circumstance, and keep your eyes 👀 on Jesus Christ. Thanks Wenda💕
