PSALM 66:16

16. Come and hear, all you who reverently and worshipfully fear God, and I will declare what He has done for me!

DEFINITIONS

Testimony -d) a statement made to establish a fact.

We are to overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. If we have prayers answered and keep them to ourselves, how will they help anyone? We are to testify by making a statement to establish the fact that the Lord answers prayer and does what He says He will do!

I have many memories of answered prayer and just wonderful things He has done. Many years ago, when my kids were smaller, they loved the little Koala bears from Australia. One was visiting our local Zoo and of course the kids begged to go. We finally gave into them and took them just because they wanted to see the Koala.

When we got to the cage where the koala was, he was on a tree limb and all you could see was a little ball of fur. They were so disappointed. So, I just shut my eyes and prayed silently and said, “Lord Jesus, you know how bad they want to see his little face, please let them see his face.” And almost before I finished my prayer, I heard the people let out a sigh of delight!

He turned His head and looked at the crowd of people. The kids got to see his little face. But I got so much more than they got. I will always remember that answer to my prayer. He made Himself known to me!

When my daughter Melanie was about 5 years old, she got a wart on her knee. It grew to be about 3or 4, until it grew to be about 20. She would fall down and skin up her knees when she was outside playing. So, I had to put long pants on her in the summertime. But she never complained.

I was a new Christian was learning so much. The Lord kept showing me to trust in Him and not in Medicine or the Doctors and it was hard. But He answered so many prayers. My Mother-in-law told me that I should take Melanie to the doctor for her knee. But I never did. One day the warts just disappeared. It was a testimony to the whole family including me.

He also healed the kids of runny noses as I always used the over-the-counter cold medicine for them until He told me to stop. When I stopped using the medicine the runny noses stopped. He is so good.

PSALM 66:8 Bless our God, O peoples, give Him grateful thanks and make the voice of His praise to be heard.

  1. Dear Wenda. Your blog today blessed me in a very special was and confirmed many things that I was praying about in my quiet time with God this morning. Loved the story about the bears and your simple prayer which met the desires of your children and many others present. I spent the morning praying for divine health and healing as the enemy had been trying several tricks against my body over the last few months. The main challenge for me has been exhaustion and giving out more than I was receiving at times. Taking some time to rest this week has helped and being intentional in my prayers and quiet times with God. Be blessed and continue to be a blessing. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ’—β€οΈπŸ’–πŸ˜˜πŸ₯°πŸ˜

  2. I love this Wenda! You said when you stopped the meds, their runny noses went away! Our trust and dependence has to be set on Jesus. When we depend on man and his β€˜science’ we often find ourselves trapped in his medical β€˜trick bag.’ πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ
