REVELATION 12:1-2
- And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
- And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. KJV
This woman in Revelation 12 is a symbol of the bride of Christ, the New Jerusalem and the Messianic kingdom of Christ (Gal. 4:26). She is pregnant with Jesus and that also means the body of Christ.
She is clothed with the Sun which represents the Son of God. She has the moon under her feet which represents the fleshly nature. She has the victory over the flesh as it is under her feet. Upon her head is her crown of victory, the twelve tribes of Israel.
Years ago, I listened to a Jewish Christian teacher who taught about how the 9 months of pregnancy went along with the 7 Jewish Feasts. Here they are:
- 1. Passover
- 2. Unleavened Bread
- 3. First Fruits
- 4. Pentecost
- 5. Trumpets
- 6. Atonement
- 7. Tabernacles
- New Life/Egg
- The Seed
- Resurrection
- Harvest
- Rapture
- Redemption
- Kingdom
- Ovulation
- Fertilization
- Implantation
- New Creature (Fetus)
- Hearing
- Blood
- Lungs
The development of the baby in the womb goes right along with the Feasts. This teacher’s wife was pregnant, and he was an expert on the timing of each feast and each one coincided perfectly with the development of the baby. Of course, this is no coincidence. The Lord has such a perfect plan.
I think the most interesting one is Trumpets and the hearing of the baby. The body of Christ also will hear the Lord when He descends from heaven with a shout. The Bridegroom in Matthew 25:6 at midnight gave a shout. We must have ears to hear the Lord calling.
When the baby’s lungs are fully formed, they are able to live in this world. So, when we are His dwelling place we will be fully formed and able to dwell with Him forever and ever.
