I THESSALONIANS 4:16-17
16. For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with a voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so, shall we ever be with the Lord. KJV
I believe the most important statement here is, “the Lord shall descend from heaven.” In Revelation 15:8. says, “And the sanctuary was filled with the smoke from the glory (the radiance, the splendor) of God and from His might and power, and no one was able to go into the sanctuary until the seven plagues of the seven angels were ended.”
These are the last plagues which are the 7 vials. They are the wrath of God. He is alone in the sanctuary. I believe the power coming out from Him is at an all-time high. This is His ultimate wrath, and He is alone. This is the beginning of the Day of the Lord, so Jesus descends.
Revelation 11:15 and 12:10 both say, “Now it has come, the time for Jesus to reign.” But I believe He is in the clouds with His elect spiritually during the wrath beginning His reign. The woman in chapter 12 is the bride and she takes up her wings to fly away from the serpent into the wilderness. She is still on this earth but uses the wings to fly or be caught up into the clouds with Jesus where she is safe for 3 and 1/2 years.
So, I believe the rapture is spiritual and is the place of communion and protection during the wrath of God. Jesus is in the clouds and His face is seen, Rev. 6:16-17.
Revelation 12:12
12. Therefore be glad (exult), O heavens and you that dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in fierce anger, because he knows that he only has a short time left.
The Greek word for dwell is “skenoo.” It means communion and protection. It comes from the root word for tabernacles. The Feast of Tabernacles is the last feast meaning His dwelling place. He is the Temple and the Light of the New Jerusalem. We are His body, and we too are part of His temple. We each have our own ordained spot to dwell in forever. But we must learn to dwell with Him here and in the heavenly realm.
In Matthew 24:31 it says, He will send out His angels and they will gather His elect. I believe at the right time before the final destruction of the earth He sends His angels out to get us and we are removed from this earth.
I have prayed about the rapture for years. I am still gathering the fragments. I do not know if this is the perfect plan. I am still learning and seeking Him for the answers. But I do believe this is very close. Help us Lord Jesus to be ready for you to come for us spiritually and physically!
MATTHEW 24:44
44. You also must be ready; therefore, for the Son of man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.
