“SINGING YOUR PRAISE” DAY OF THE LORD JANUARY 29, 2023

PSALM 84:4

4. Blessed -happy, fortunate (to be envied) – are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your Praises all the day long. Selah!

The happiest state we have is when we worship. He blesses us with the Holy Spirit in our heart that fill us with Himself. The more we sing, the more joy we have. When we sing words of Praise they come out with power and fill with joy. We bless Him but we are the ones who are really blessed.

CH Spurgeon wrote the following:

“For the King in His beauty outshines all imaginable loveliness, surely what we have “seen” keeps pace with, nay, far exceeds, what we have “heard.” Let us then glorify and praise for a Savior so precious, and so satisfying.”

We are blessed with the gift of Praise to bless the Lord. This is the doorway of His presence. We enter with thanksgiving and praise. We start out with joyful fast songs and enter into His courts. We need the fast, energetic songs to lift us up. As we sing, we able to begin to forget the troubles of this life and enter the heavenlies.

Then we can worship after we forget the blues of this world. We focus on His goodness and love. We can get lost in the beauty of His glory. It is full of power and healing unlike any on this earth.

It teaches us to live in the atmosphere of praise. We find ourselves singing all day. That is the safest place on this planet. We need this more and more as times get closer to His return. The devil knows he has but a short time left and ups his game. But he hates praise and worship because he is not invited to this party.

PSALM 147:1

1. Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God, for He is gracious and lovely; praise is becoming and appropriate.
