ISAIAH 25:4

4. For Thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is a storm against the wall. KJV.

DEFINITIONS

Strength -c) a fortified place, a defense, force, fort.

Refuge -d) shelter or protection from danger, difficulty, etc., a place of safety.

Shadow -c) shade, defense.

Babylon -c) confusion, to overflow, to mix, fodder.

Fodder -d) food for cattle not sheep, garbage.

This is the time of the judgement of Babylon. Verse 2 says, “For Thou hast made a city a heap; of a defensed city a ruin: a palace to strangers to be no city; it shall never be rebuilt.”

Revelation 18:19…has been destroyed and has become a desert.

21…with such violence shall Babylon the great city be hurled down to destruction and shall never again be found.

Rev. 18:4 I then heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out from her, My people, so that you may not share in her sins, neither participate in her plagues. Amp.

Babylon is a place of idolatry and not serving the Lord. It is a backslidden place. It is also the place of confusion. We can get easily shaken by the pains of this life and fall into a pit of unbelief which can lead to confusion very quickly if we don’ t cry to Lord for help.

He says He will be a refuge for the needy. If we think we have all the strength in ourselves then we will not be the needy ones of whom He is speaking. Babylon is a place of self will and self-righteousness. All of self has to die to its own resources and come to the place of neediness.

The Lord knows just how really needy we are. We should never try to straighten ourselves out in our own strength. If He is not our strength and refuge at this time, we will fail and fall. This scripture says He will be a strength to the poor and needy. If we are not honest with Him about ourselves, He will not receive our prayer.

Psalm 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill?

2. He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. KJV.

We must have the truth in our heart to come into His house. We must be able to admit to Him how needy we are. Then He will be all that we need as we bring all of these needs to Him. Then we will be under His shadow and very safe when Babylon falls.

Babylon is the worldly system that supplies everything the flesh craves. In one hour, it will be gone. We must die to the fleshly cravings. The Spirit must control our actions leading us to become that new holy creation that will stand before Him when all is falling apart.

Psalm 12:5 Now will I arise, says the Lord, because the poor are oppressed, because of groans of the needy; I will set him in safety and in the salvation for which he pants.

  1. We should be as needy for Jesus, as the deer that panteth after the water!
AS THE hart pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant and long for You, O God (Ps 42:1)

  2. Great word my sister.
Indeed it’s time for Babylonian systems to be charged and be exposed for what they are.
We need to get out of her systems and come out clean so that God wil use us mightly
