ISAIAH 54:4-5

4. Fear not, for you shall not be ashamed; neither be confounded and depressed, for you shall not be put to shame; for you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not seriously remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.

5. For your Maker is your Husband, the Lord of Hosts is His name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth He is called. Amp.

DEFINITIONS

Husband -c) Master, owner, captain.

The Lord puts us on a journey and teaches us His ways. We are to be Married to our Bridegroom, but for now we have to be learning and growing. We must make Him our master and captain giving Him control.

Then after a while He promises that His love will not depart. Then He will set our stones meaning He will perfect our temple so we can be His dwelling place. We will be able to look back at all of our battles and see the work the Lord has done, and we did not suffer in vain.

He will establish us, and we will be safe as in Psalm 9l. All of our children will be taught of the Lord. They will have great peace, vs.13.

But the best promise is the last one. “No weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue that shall arise against you in judgment you shall show to be wrong,”vs.17. We can use this scripture against the enemy time after time and win the battle at hand. But we win only if He is our Husband and our Captain.

We must learn how to follow the Lamb and wait for Him to lead the way. We must also spend time alone in His presence learning His voice. There are times we need to hear Him speak to us so we can have clear instructions. There are many in the scriptures who heard detailed instruction about their path. How much more do we need clear instructions in these last days?

John 10:27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

It is a wonderful blessing to hear Him speak. It just takes a lot of time and determination. But the blessing and joy far outweighs any hardship.
