6. And He said, “Hear now My words: If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make Myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream.”
7. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all Mine house.
8. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against My servant Moses? KJV.
Similitude -c) something portioned as a shape, embodiment or manifestation (of favor) – image or likeness.
What does He mean in verse 7, “who is faithful in all Mine house.”
Zechariah 3:7 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; If thou wilt walk in My ways, and if thou wilt keep My charge, then thou shalt also judge My house, and shalt also keep My courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.
When God puts you in charge of His house, it is a great responsibility. Moses had to be a teacher, an intercessor and a servant of the Lord. How much free time do you think he had? I am sure he did much more than that. He did receive all the instructions for the temple and its daily keeping.
I believe it is saying that he served God and kept all of His commandments. The Lord is so good. You just cannot out give God. If we spend the appropriate amount of time in prayer, communion and worship we will be rewarded. What better reward than to see His form, likeness or image and hear His voice?
He gives us people to pray for, to be an example for and to die for. We are responsible for their welfare. The job does come with perks. We get to come into the house of the Lord. And that means access to His presence. Then when we spend time alone with Him, we will hear His voice. As we worship, we will see His Form in the Spirit.
1 John 3:16 By this we come to know progressively to recognize, to perceive, to understand the essential love: that He laid down His own life for us; and we ought to lay our lives down for those who are our brothers in Him.
What a special privilege to be a servant of the Lord!
