JEREMIAH 33:3 Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

The Lord is so full of compassion and is always drawing us into deeper waters of faith and knowledge of Him. He wants to share with us all that He has and is.

He was telling Jeremiah to ask Him to show him the future of Israel. He was in the midst of prophesying the destruction of the temple that no one wanted to hear. He was opening up the future of Israel to him. He wanted to give him hope in desolate surroundings.

When Jesus was passing by two men were sitting the roadside, they cried out, “Lord have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!’ Matt.20:30

How did He answer them? Jesus asked them, “What do you want Me to do for you?”

They answered Him, “We want our eyes opened!” And Jesus in pity, healed them. Matt. 32-34

Jesus is always putting Himself out there for us. He wants us to use all His powers and virtues. He wants us to have faith to move mountains. He says if we have faith like the grain of a mustard seed nothing will be impossible. Matt.17:20.

In Mark 4, He was teaching in parables, “but privately to His disciples (those who were peculiarly His own) he explained everything fully.” We are not to take this privilege lightly. He wants us to pray and ask of Him all the questions we have that will make our relationship with Him grow. He will answer and show us things we do not know. But we must be serious about what we ask.

I love the book of Revelations and had so many questions. Many of them I asked everyday for years until I got the true, deep understanding that I knew beyond a doubt was from Him. I used this scripture from Jeremiah as the promise. However, the answer always came at the end of a very difficult trial. He opened my eyes and I knew.

That is His way. I think many read the book of Revelations and reason it out with their own understanding which is very dangerous. There is a warning in Rev. 22:18-19 that clearly says not to add to or take away from the statements or God will lay the plagues on him.

You cannot just preach or teach from your own mind and heart. We are very accountable as teachers of the Word of God. We Will be judged on a higher standard than others. That is why He told Jeremiah to call to Him and ask. He is more than ready to show us all that we need.

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus says the Lord of hosts, Do not listen to the words of the (false) prophets who prophesy to you. They teach you vanity — emptiness, falsity and futility — and fill you with vain hopes; they speak a vision of their own minds, and not from the mouth of the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:21 I did not send these (false) prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.

Jeremiah 23-22 But if they had stood in My council, then they would have caused My people to hear My words, then they would have turned (My people) from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Amp.

He is warning the Church that if your say “thus sayeth the Lord,” it better be true. He is saying that without your prayer time and communion time with Him in the secret place, your words will be just that — your words. There is no power in our own words. But if we spend that time alone with Him, our words will be spoken with His power and those who hear will repent.

God says, “As you trust me before men, I will open My storehouse of great goodness and pour it on you. I will hide you in the secret of My presence. I will not allow strife to overwhelm you.”

  1. I thank you so much for the Word you are sharing. It is a blessing to me everyday and it always comes right at the right moment that I need to hear these words and songs. There have been so many times that I have prayed for something and He answers me in the words and songs that you share. It is truly a Blessing. I love you and Him so much.
